We're back

Butser Ancient Farm

Hello everyone! Tim and I finished the DIY the week before last, and once the new carpet had been fitted, we 'reassembled' the room.  Everyone who's seen it likes it, so it seems to have been worthwhile.  Last week we went on holiday, to the South Downs.  Plenty of relaxation, good food, interesting places to visit.  The cottage we rented was really nice, and in a great setting.  More on our holiday, and the wargaming-relevant sites we visited, soonish.  So now we're back, batteries recharged, and I am ready for more wargaming.

I took some stuff away with me, to enable me to do some play-testing of the new rules, which revealed a few more bits which didn't work very well, so I'll set in and change those shortly.  I also cleaned up a batch of Aventine Miniatures Republican Romans.  They're beautiful figures - a review will follow in a few days, once I've got back into the swing of things.

Whilst we were on holiday, I both went to the launch party for Harry Sidebottom's 'King of Kings', and read the book.  Jolly good it is too - again, a review will follow in a few days once I'm settled back in to life at home.
