Barrels

Barrels

Yesterday's effort - two sets of plastic barrels from Renedra. Before you comment - the 'hoops' looked to me far more like the 'old-fashioned' kind made from wooden 'withies' than the more modern iron bands, which is why they look as they do. I painted one set up as new barrels, the other as ones which have seen some service. The 'kits' turn out quite nicely in the end, but are a lot of effort - the parts take quite a bit of cleaning up, don't fit amazingly well, and once glued together, the seams are difficult to clean up. I'm not surprised that wargamers don't much like plastic kits, if this is the only sort of thing they ever build!

They'll make useful 'clutter' (and cover!) for Old West Skirmish games.  They might also be useful for fantasy RPGs too - so I'll add them to that box of 'stuff' - tables, chairs, beds, crates, etc.
