For Sale...

I have for sale two 'Old West' buildings, manufactured by Battleflag; carefully assembled and painted by me. I very rarely sell wargaming gear - I hate parting with it - and it'll be a wrench to let these go, as I invested a fair bit of effort in them, and I like them. But I want to 'change direction' slightly with my Old West project, and now they're 'surplus to requirements'.

Some random thoughts...

It's odd - when my painting mojo is missing, my 'wargaming brain' doesn't seem to think straight. It's only when I'm enjoying painting, and can sit there, cheerfully slapping paint on lead/plastic, that I have 'good' thoughts. So...

As you can see from the previous post, I have finished the first two groups for the Ronin game. …

Koryus

Here are my first two 'gangs' for Osprey Publishing's 'Ronin' samurai skirmish game. They aren't my finest ever figures - but then, I am out of practice and Samurai aren't the easiest figures to paint!  First up are the 'koryu' (martial arts school):


Secondly we have the bandits.  I've done the bandits mostly in more 'rustic' colours, to try to reflect how poor those living on the margins of society are likely to have been, compared to Samurai, monks and the like.

How did that happen?

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…. No, that's not right. Anyway, it was quite a long time ago, and some distance away (but not far at all in galactic terms). I had some Samurai.
